Hello! The Siding from the "other" site that went off line
Was at Greenport recently The Peconic Railroad is gone in a sense tracks have been removed (including the loop at the former owners house) As stated the town of Greenport is trying to put it somewhere possibly near the Greenport Railroad Museum maybe the merry go round Will try to post more info His wife bought her husband the train from an amusement park it was Gasolline powered he ran it till 2012 possibly new people own the property hope to get more info
Will be going back a few times this summer (including Riverhead Rail Festival)

This is a great thread. I love poking around on google maps so I looked at Oyster Bay and found the museum. Your photo is much better than google’s but google shows the truth- that diesel cab is only the front 10 or 15 feet of the loco! The info of the G-5 being restored at Strasburg was news to me and I’m only half an hour from that haven of railroading. I wonder what the status on it is?
