The CUS is something that I am proud to be a part of and a few regrets as well. I purchased three of these locomotives in 2015 from eBay. The seller had 12-15 that all ended withing minutes of each other. One regret is that I was too fiscally responsible and didn't buy more and that I didn't get one of the high-nosed units. The other regret is that I don't know the history. I asked the seller if he had any background information on the creator of this line and he didn't.
I like the idea that there are several other people running the same line on their layouts and since I subscribe to the CUS method of constructing my layout, I intend to add a few more units starting with a caboose.
Here are my other two.

umpdan31: JadeFog: i found a brand new in the box ConCor PRR mail car. Although the ones that I already have are all heavyweights with 6 wheel trucks, this one is a lightweight with 4 wheel trucks. I also picked up a few assorted couplers. Glad he was open again.

umpdan31: The mail car was 10 bucks. Not bad for a brand new car.
