Not sure if this is the right section, but anyway....
My Friends, I want to apologize for my recent extended absence the past several days. An unfortunate event has befallen my family.....on March 25, my mother was admitted to the hospital. She had been complaining of headaches and nausea for a few days prior.....Unfortunately, this past Friday, March 30, she passed away, apparently from a brain anneurism (SP?). We will be burying her tomorrow, in San Antonio. She was to be 70 yrs. old come December.
I'm sorry to say, my mother and I didn't see eye-to-eye on many things, which caused our relationship to be very limited over the past 30 yrs. or so. Many times, we went years without speaking. Obviously, right now I feel like a TOTAL *#@%-head, for allowing (what now seems so trivial) things to rob both of us what may have been some good times.
I said that last, to say THIS....
DON'T let trivial disagreements cause you and any of your loved ones or close friends, to deprive yourselves of the wonderful, God-given experiences, that can only be shared between family, extended family, and good friends. We can never know how limited our time is on this Earth. Only God does, and he ain't talkin'!!
I will be back in the mix at TD soon, just gotta get through this.....and Jerry, if you're still coming down for the New Braunfels Train Show, I WILL see you there!!!
God bless y'all, your families and friends.
P.S. At least she and I had made some progress this past year, and my last memory of her will be her RE-gifting me my TYCO train stuff this past Christmas.
