I've never seen one, either. Very bizarre but I like it.
"A lot of modellers out there who go to the train shows see these broken H0 stuff and go 'This is useless.' when in reality, it can still be used for modelling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

Oh, 40 or more years ago, whilst reading up on PRR, I discovered part of their "standardization" included same boilers on L1s Mikados and K4s Pacifics. I filed that data away until, oh, 30 years ago, and decided I was going to build what Lionel should have with Lionel parts. I had several 675 boilers (supposedly K4 or K5...nobody is really sure...but it looked right), so I needed a chassis. Told my buddies I was going to find a Turbine chassis, drivers, rods, motor and e-unit, and that I was only going to pay ten bucks for it. They laughed. Until I went to a TCA local meet, and they had table sales in the first part of the meet..first table, 671 jackshaft two gear Turbine chassis, drivers, motor, e-unit, no shell, no lead or trail trucks...picked it up, tag said ten bucks..holding chassis tightly, I held it out and asked the seller if that was right...yes. Whipped a ten spot into his palm, ran it out and locked it in the boot of the vehicle. Then I went to a friend, retired areospace engineer/toolmaker/machinist.....he had all the equipment at home..he milled out the bottom of the cab and nose of the 675 to accept the 671 chassis. I had an old 675 boiler front with class lights broken off...but the PRR had them further back on the smokebox than Lionel did, so I mounted broken units on the smokebox. I think we made the pilot and steps to match PRR practice. Moved the whistle and bell, modified a 675 cylinder assembly (easy to find one with damaged "cowcatcher") and then painted and Champ decalled. Runs sweet....good use for all those bits, causes consternation amongst collectors when they see it.... Dave

Always. In have two original SC catalogs, one or two photocopies, but they are all different. Faber...probably. SC and SM, yes, Lobaugh, no. I think I have one Lobaugh freight car..they are too much money for me! Let me know. Thanks. Dave

Everything but the Lobaugh....but if you're scanning and sending via e-mail, I can print them here, save your printing costs, and shipping costs. I can ask some 0 scale buddies if they want the Lobaugh and send them via e-mail to them! Thanks! Dave
toyhoarder: Snow flurries all day. I am not ready for this.

crosswire: What's a snow flurry? Do not have that expression down here.
Nov 3, 2021 9:46:23 GMT -5
umpdan31: A snow flurry is a quick burst of light snow that may last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours with very little, if any, accumulation. But then, you already knew that and were just bragging that you don't get any snow where you are.

umpdan31: By the way, crossfire, where is "down here"? I might want to move there. I hate snow!

JNXT 7707: I believe crossfire is in the Houston, TX area - south of ****'s Front Porch. Very, very slight chance of flurries

newbieho: I believe JNXT 7707 is correct. crosswire did mention some place call East Houston in one of his posts. We get a couple of flurries here once in a while, too...like 36" in 3 days. UGH! Can't wait for that again...the shoveling, etc.

crosswire: Ah, flurries explained. The closest thing to snow flurries that we have are leaf flurries. One good cold front (40s) in November or December and all the trees give up their leaves in one big mess; no warning, no color change, just gone. Yeah, just bragging

crosswire: I think I will take the boat around to a restaurant for lunch with the guys. Cheers from Laporte, Texas, east of Houston.

JNXT 7707: We're getting Ohio weather from around early October it looks like. 60s-70s, clear blue skies, a nice breeze. A nice time of year to visit Texas.
