Hi everyone,
I was informed of the seeming pending meltdown of the old place, by a couple members, a day or so ago. I actually saw the final threads which were deleted - I have no direct information or commentary other than regret that a place that was once so great, fell apart in such a manner. But I can't say it's a surprise. Nor can I say I'd be surprised if it "comes back". For myself, I largely stayed off the TCF since the stalking incident and wholly, sincerely, wish to leave that in the past. I hope measures are in place to discourage such things here. I have not spoken to or heard from Todd ever since he didn't follow through (or explain to me why) back then, so I'm not going to comment for him or speculate now. It's better on the outside.
Just want to get that out of the way... hopefully the wreckage can stay there

OK! I'm glad to see the Depot catching on slowly, RDC1 seems to have picked a fine, modern infrastructure with a clean interface, so it'll grow and feel like home again in time. At any rate, it's nice to see some new blood giving things a go... hopefully some of the mistakes and aggravations of the old site can be addressed before they fester too long. To that end, I'd like to extend my best wishes toward everyone involved. And it's nice to see some old familiar names here too.
I can't promise I'll be around much (*and the sighs of relief rang out on high!*) since I'm too friggin' scatterbrained for my own good anymore, and my life is not my own these days... but if I can provide any meaningful help, let me know. OTOH if my name is more persona non grata these days, then, I'll be happy to stay away.
Either way, hopefully I can be pried from my hole now and then, if I have something worth sharing. I did get some surprises from G. Patrick Dennis a few weeks ago which I've been meaning to post up on my own site, but even that's died from neglect. Online "life" is a fickle thing, indeed!
Happy Rails ya'll...
