We all know Alcos are beyond cool, but this takes it to a whole other level. What a wonderful Kitbash job this is. Take an Alco switcher, this one looks like an s4, add an RS3 cab, a stub nose, Canadian feather edge hoods and place the whole thing on trucks from a PA. There were four of these in real life, designed to work on branch lines where light rail prevented the use of a traditional road unit. The extra axles allowed the weight of the locomotive to be spread over more wheels, while the use of a switcher frame lessened the overall weight of the locomotive,
That is an MLW(ALCO) RSC 24 is has a 244 12 cylinder engine on a 2 motor 3 axle truck. MLW only built 4 of this model using derated engines from 251 upgraded FPA2 Locomotoves. They supplemented the 35 MLW RSC 13 to replace steam engines on the branch lines. The RSC 13 was the older 539 engine. The trucks from both these engine types were later put under MLW RS18's to make RSC 14 locomotives to take over brance line servace. Regards, John
wks: None of the football teams adopted the Baby Shark theme song. Perhaps that song would give the same good luck that it gave a certain baseball team in Washington to propel them to champions.
