Always next year to see that fascinating layout Dave. But before the end of this year I plan to revisit Strasburg. Which takes us to the next Pennsylvania station to see.
Strasburg station is the home of the Strasburg Railroad.
Next door to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
Switch tower west of the station.
Two miles east is another Pennsylvania station.
Cherry Hill may be the smallest station in the state. Well actually a shanty but we can still dream. Steam engine passes that cute station five years ago. Time for me to go back there to make new memories. Was on a tight schedule with JF Dave this past Sunday. Had to postpone the visit to Strasburg. No problem. Soon I can view the sights in Paradise Pennsylvania. The road to paradise in eastern Pennsylvania.
Yes they had a Halloween special that day. Pumpkin patch set up in nearby Wanamakers. The photo was taken one week before Super Storm Sandy. That storm did so much damage in the Northeast. Even the railroad in Kempton sustained minor damage. The crossing signals north of the station were damaged.
At least this wonderful signal was spared from the devastating effects of Super Storm Sandy.
