I emailed His Foggyness a few months back because I had run across a really nice, old 8wd Bachmann GP40, and it was wormy.
No response from Fog Manor during the show, but afterward his Highness somehow scheduled a response into his day, lamenting the loss of the GP40. My guess is one of his servants, a bearer or manservant perhaps, was being blamed for not relaying the message in a timely manner.
I indicated to the Great One that perhaps I could check with the vendor with the Geep at the next show, so a Royal decree was issued and posted before the lowly townsfolk. At the next show, said GP40 vendor was not there, so after much weeping and gnashing of teeth Sir Fog conceded that perhaps I could try another day, and postponed having me sent to the stocks.
With great trepidation I journeyed to today's train show, with hope that the spectre of HRH Fog and his wrath could be turned. Fate smiled upon me and I found again the treasured wormy Geep, so I attempted to contact the Fog Manor with the good news, only to be put off until His Highness' 'people' decided to get back to me. Get back to me they did, and now the Geep will be headed to the Fog Manor, and I have been spared a public flogging...or worse!

There was not one bit of exaggeration in that account. That is exactly how it went down. Frankie was spared the rack, the stocks, and cow pie picking one more time, as he, being the keeper of the Orbitron, can do further good for this forum as the CLO- Chief Locating Officer. Although, be aware that Frankie has been remanded to The Probationary Protocol. Keep your eyes on him.

"The procedure is steeped in mystery and intrigue, Frankie....and your question is perhaps better suited for Halloween, rather than the joyful lights of Christmas "
Fear not O mortals. HRH is well, steeped in Christmas traditions as this video will certainly attest:
It even features the Bachmann GP-40 mentioned earlier in the post.
Some other info- this week I am on my own as the Lady of the Manor is helping her Mother with some housekeeping and decorating for Christmas as she has just weathered a rough health patch before Thanksgiving. Some may wonder if the Lord of the Manor is cavorting with with dancing girls, pie maids and dessert wenches while the lady is gone. A hearty Nay to that. But there is a fair bit of cooking none the less.
A big batch of deer chili
The wreckage of apples in a baked apple crisp dessert
Not to mention leftovers of turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pies.
There has been significant train operations as well, and they have overtaken the dining table
Notice the candles, too. To summon the Fog... And the ALDI ginger beer- the zippiest soda there is
I also delved into the three new boxcars from Long Island. For comparison, these cars are supposed to have two nubs behind the center of the truck to help steer the draft gear around curves
However, none of the new ones have them because the draft gear is glued solid to the chassis!
With the great overhang of these cars they would need a huge radius to negotiate any curves, so I have pondered how to separate the draft gear from the chassis with a chisel or a coping saw....

umpdan31: JadeFog: i found a brand new in the box ConCor PRR mail car. Although the ones that I already have are all heavyweights with 6 wheel trucks, this one is a lightweight with 4 wheel trucks. I also picked up a few assorted couplers. Glad he was open again.

umpdan31: The mail car was 10 bucks. Not bad for a brand new car.
