ZeldaTheSwordsman: I'm busy with college, hence my not being around in a while. But I decided I'd pop in for a bit today, check in on things here

ZeldaTheSwordsman: rbturner I still haven't done any physical work on the 2-10-4, but I have almost finished drawing up a pattern for making a tender.

ZeldaTheSwordsman: I've designed the pattern to be adjustable in terms of length. Do people think a 52' tender on 6-wheel trucks would look alright?

rbturner: 52' sounds like a PRR long haul tender.

John: Not only does Hallmark stay on all day. There is no more room on the playback device. I have to fight her to keep her from buying Hallmark Christmas DVDs. I am fully convinced they are really chick flicks with Christmas titles.

ZeldaTheSwordsman: rbturner That was my inspiration. But I don't have any 8-wheel tender trucks at present, 6-wheel are the largest I have and I don't know if that would look adequate on a 52'. So I've made provision for doing 40' or 45' instead

JNXT 7707: Mantua tenders are 37' with 6-wheel trucks. They look just a little stubby to my eye, so 40'-45' should look good.

The Jade Fog, formerly: Dave: I know where an M-1 Mountain 12 wheel tender is... Just saw it a few days ago in a stash of locos in a junk pile at Draude's!

frankenstein: John, I'm telling you the actors in Hallmark "movies" are pod people.

rbturner: The only redeeming quality of Hallmark movies is that they occasionally use cute girls.

rbturner: I re-built a brass ATSF tender a few years ago and I looked high and low for 4 axle trucks. The prices on them were stunning so it got 3 axle trucks.

JNXT 7707: Those things are hard to find. I had a couple sets of them from some Bachmann long-haul tenders, that I used on the articulated tanker - but they had solid plastic wheelsets.
